About the Event
Come spend the day in beautiful Patterson Park with equally beautiful pups. This one-day community event is packed with hundreds of vendors, activities, entertainment, food, and of course, dogs. Celebrate your best friend while raising support for less fortunate canines.
The Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo experience will provide a hub for animal-lovers to share their experience, products, knowledge, and love with dogs and their owners.
The event is opened with the Pretty Pet Parade around the park. The Main Stage has top local bands jamming live all throughout the day. Shower your pet with toys and gifts to enrich their lives. Finish off the night with a feast of crabs. Sniff a butt or two, make some new friends. That’s what the Expo is celebrating after all: the friendship between human and dog.

Rachel Evans
The Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo is the annual fundraiser for Don’t Be A Bully, a primarily bully-breed rescue. Rachel Evans, the founder of Don’t Be A Bully and the Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo, has found homes for hundreds of dogs that had been surrendered, abandoned, or abused. Don’t Be A Bully advocates for the fair and loving treatment of Pit bulls and other bully breeds, but the rescue will help any dog in need no matter what the breed.
Rachel and Don’t Be a Bully may be the bully rescue of Maryland, but the rescue focuses on dogs with the most need no matter where in the U.S. they might be. She started the Mid-Atlantic Dog Expo to raise money for Don’t Be A Bully while also highlighting other rescues, promoting adoption, and celebrating the furry companions we all love.
